Before surgery: Could not stand for more than 5 minutes without pain, legs were weak, and in constant pain when standing. Was taking 4 to 5 Lortabs per day and often pain meds did not work.

After surgery: First week was horrible and required regular doses of pain meds and muscle relaxers every 4 to 6 hours. Had home health start stretches and exercising and walked 1.5 miles on the treadmill on 09/09/2015 (one month, two days after surgery). I've strained wine, tilled the garden, pickled beans, dug potatoes, and planted turnip greens. Did experience a bladder infection but got meds and is now better. Only have pain in left hip between 12 midnight and 2 a.m., have to get up and walk to make it go away. Pain meds are now taken 2x a day (morning and night). Back pops at times for no reason. Overall, doing great and going back to work tomorrow. Thank you.
