Playing with Grandbaby, Kayaking

Prior to surgery my pain was continuous and unrelieved by medication. This pain increased with activity. Dr. McCord informed me after my first ALIF with posterior fixation that if needed he could take out the hardware if needed as they were there for support during healing. He determined removing the screws would improve my condition. He did indeed remove them, and I immediately had relief. No purple foot, no radiating pain in glute, leg, and foot. I am grateful and would do this again! I now can resume my normal activities and most importantly play with my grandbaby. Looking forward to golfing, hiking, and kayaking! 09/24/2019
