Improving Each Week with Pain & Flexibility

I improve every week in flexibility and pain level. At the highest my pain will get to a 7 to 8 in my hips, where it was off the chart at first.

10/10/2017

To be honest, I was not prepared for the pain and inability to move or rise to a standing position without a walker for two weeks postop. I "needed" my pain meds without fail or I would just cry and cry. Each week has been a slow improvement. What causes my pain mostly at my six-week postop visit are my hips from where the grafts were taken. My back feels tight and sore like I have lifted weights wrong, but I am glad to know that I can twist and stretch them now. I have lost most of my endurance during recovery. I feel exhausted most of the day but keep pushing. I improve every week in flexibility and pain level. At the highest my pain will get to a 7 to 8 in my hips, where it was off the chart at first. This only happens at night mostly though. I look forward to each improvement week by week. I will increase my motion now that I know it's safe.
