25 Years Later, Surgery Still Holding Strong

On January 7, 1996, I shattered a vertebra in my lower back. Dr. McCord done my surgery on January 12, 1996. I know have six bolts and a plate in my back. Since my surgery and my recovery time, I have done anything I've wanted to. I worked in a factory from 1996 to 2005. That's when I decided to go to lineman school. I have been working in the trade since 2005 until present. I climb poles, work out of bucket trucks, set poles, shovel dirt, anything to do with my job. It's a very physical job. If I hadn't had a great surgery, I could not have been able to work this kind of job. It has been 19 years since my surgery, so far so good. 01/02/2015
